Android No Internet: Fix Wi-Fi and Mobile Data

Short answer: If apps and web pages won't load on Android, follow Google's connection checklist.

TL;DR: quick fix
  1. Restart your phone.
  2. Open Settings > Network & internet (or Connections) and switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data.
  3. Check Mobile data is turned on and you haven't hit a data limit.

Is Android down?

Android has no public status page. If friends on other networks see the same problem, it's probably an outage: wait and retry.

How to fix it: step by step

  1. Restart your phone.
  2. Open Settings > Network & internet (or Connections) and switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data.
  3. Check Mobile data is turned on and you haven't hit a data limit.
  4. Turn airplane mode on and off.
  5. For Wi-Fi: forget the network and reconnect, and restart your router.
