Spotify Says You're Offline: Fix

Short answer: If Spotify says it's offline, Offline mode may be on, or your connection is down.

TL;DR: quick fix
  1. Mobile: tap your profile picture > Settings and privacy > Data-saving and offline, and switch off Offline mode.
  2. Desktop: Spotify menu (Mac) or File (Windows), and untick Offline mode.
  3. Check that other apps and web pages work.

Is Spotify down?
