TradingView Down or Charts Not Updating? What to Check

Short answer: If TradingView charts freeze or prices stop updating, check the TradingView status page first. On November 2, 2026, TradingView's status page logged a "No real-time data" incident from 09:16 to 10:59 GMT; it is marked resolved.

TL;DR: quick fix
  1. Check if TradingView is down for everyone.
  2. Look for a "D" next to the symbol: TradingView says a "D" means the symbol's data is delayed, not real-time (a red icon means the data comes from Cboe), so a slow price may be your data source rather than an outage.
  3. Reload the chart page, and if you use TradingView Desktop, make sure the app is up to date (⋯ menu > Settings > About).

Before you change settings, check TradingView Status. If there's an outage, wait it out.

How to fix it: step by step

  1. Check whether TradingView is down for everyone: open status.tradingview.com, which lists Website, Data feeds, Chart, Alerts, Trading and more. When we checked on November 3, 2026 all systems were operational.
  4. In TradingView Desktop, clear the cache: ⋯ menu > Settings > Service > Clear cache, then relaunch the app.
  5. If charts freeze or a tab crashes, disable all indicators and turn them back on one by one; TradingView says resource-heavy indicators can crash a tab.
  6. Temporarily turn off antivirus, firewall or VPN software that handles network traffic, and close other heavy apps. If it still fails, test TradingView in a web browser before contacting TradingView support.
